Ya gotta laugh......it's a dogs life

Rusty had to have a visit to his Doctor.

Coz poor little bugger had a dose of mite
was looking quite bedraggled.
And the scratching.
It was driving us mad watching him
we can only imagine how he felt.

At the vets on the wall,
was this poster.
Rules for the dog.
It struck a cord with me
 and had a good laugh.

Firstly must add I grew up as a cat person.
 So having a dog
especially the lively sheepdog/kelpie version,
took some adapting.

Anyhows

This is what took pride of place on their wall.

RULES FOR THE DOG

  1. The dog is NOT allowed in the house.

2. O.K. the dog CAN come into the house but only in CERTAIN rooms.

3. The dog is allowed in all the rooms BUT stay off the furniture.

4.The dog can get on OLD furniture.

5. FINE. The dog is allowed on the furniture BUT is not allowed to sleep on the bed.

6.O.K,the dog CAN sleep on the bed but ONLY by invitation.

7.The dog CAN sleep on the bed whenever he wants BUT NOT under the covers.
 8. The dog CAN sleep under the covers by invitation only.

 9. The dog CAN sleep under the covers every night.

10. Humans MUST ask permission to sleep under the covers with the dog.

In the world of me,
there's a whole lot of truth in it.

Although rusty does get to watch  his fav tellie programs

And get to sit in Sirs chair

Sometimes I have to toe the line and so does Rusty.

I'VE drawn the line ..........

There's NO WAY he get to sleep on
 or anywhere near my bed!!!!

My life is richer for having dogs.
Our working dogs saved
many many hours of time when mustering.
My dog was Tim,
he worked the best for me.
 Sir had his own dogs.

I could and should write a blog about working with dogs.
There are some ripper stories to tell.
About my first effort at mustering when I split ...........

Ya gotta Laugh ......It's a dog life.
