One of the Grand houses in Tassie

Clarendon,
is one of the Grand Houses of Tassie.

No,
in the law only to me I say the Grandest

And one of my favourite places to visit.

Was built in I think 1820s'
by a man called James Cox.
Built on the edge of the South Esk River,
it's surrounded with 9 acres of parkland.
So pretty......So Grand.

Reminds me of Tara in Gone with the wind

The Drawing Room well restored

Love this light in Main entrance

The 1820s' version of an en-suite in corner of a bedroom

Back entrance none to shabby either

Over the back Fence towards stables

Love it when we have visitors,
we get do the touristy thing.

Showing off this beautiful State we live in.

Am off to see Woolmers next week
 another grand house
but its the rose garden
which is the big attraction this time.

Tassie in Spring
with
the open gardens
 at their blooming best.
