On Nanna duty

Yesterday
 this Nonna was 

on Nanna duty.

It's our custom on Fridays,

that Cuz L  takes "Nanna"
 aka Aunt E
 into town

 and we all meet for morning tea.

Aunt E is 95 
and going strong.

Yesterday Cuz L was away

and I was on duty.

My turn to take her to town for the day.

Aunt E  is wheel chair bound

but the brain is as bright as could be.

As she is fond of saying ..

 "from the neck up is good, 

 from neck down I'm shot".

The Grand Dame herself

Her company is  lively,

her life full.

Aunt E always has laughter
 and anecdotes to share.

We had the morning tea,
and a good catch up,
then off for some shopping time.

One never just goes shopping,
with Aunt E

 there's always someone 

stopping her
to say g'day.

I tell you
 I was flagging way before Aunt E!

Always a pleasure to be on Nanna duty.
