Am back tracking a bit.
I demand to know,
where has January gone?
Anyways.
Friends Laird and Lady Mcs and I
packed up and went to Hobart New Years Day,
It's where the Taste is held.
The Taste of Tasmania.
What a great day.
Held around the area of Constitutional dock
the atmosphere was very festive.

This was helped along by hundreds of yachts and yachties'
gathered there, after completing the Sydney to Hobart race.
Aligning one of the wharfs was the food hall.
And what a taste we had of delicious food.
Washed down with Tassies finest wines.

Washed down with Tassies finest wines.
And some delicious apple ciders.
We basically tasted our way around the stalls.
Had a antipasto plate of Vietnamese finger food.
Then some herb octopus tentacles in some secret herbs and spices.
Then vegan quinoa salad.
Then just in case it was all getting too healthy had a nougat panna cotta.
All divine.
The day was drizzly the atmosphere great.
We strolled around constitutional dock and
enjoyed all the yachts moored there.
Left pretty impressed by the courage
to sail from Sydney to Hobart in these teeny tiny yachts.

Left pretty impressed by the courage
of all of the brave-hearted people who did it.
To think they had braved those treacherous seas to sail from Sydney to Hobart in these teeny tiny yachts.
These yachts seem so tiny to face the challenges of Bass Strait. I am in awe. |
This was one of the larger yachts heading off. THE LARGER ........ just look at the size of it and I've experienced and seen some of those waves while crossing Bass Strait on the Ferry Yikes |
Would have to say am loving all these Apple Cider Boutique
businesses that are all the go at the moment.
May they prosper and grow.
Coz to the law of only me Tassie has the best ever apple ciders.
......................Well .........................
we are the Apple Isle after all.
