Its such a naff saying but it seems to catch our aussie spirit.

It was the 26th January and time to celebrate.
Every Australia Day we celebrate with a good Big Breakfast 

which  goes on until late evening.

It started when we lived in a small country town 

and we as in Sir was involved as a councillor there, 

this meant we attended many functions.

One of the functions was the towns
 big Aussie breakfast held in one of the local parks
on each Australia Day for the locals

Complete with Damper Golden Syrup Lamingtons etc.

When we moved here Sir decided to carry on with this tradition

 on a much smaller scale
 thankfully!!

So friends and neighbours are invited.

It's a long day for us but we enjoy a catch-up,

enjoy the fact we catch-up with some of the neighbours.

We have some lovely neigbhours.

Slightly hilarious as the lawn is on a 30degree angle.

It was a tired old couple that tumbled into bed that night

but satisfied on another successful gathering.

And a day acknowledging Australia this wonderful country we live in.
