The summers here in Tassie are just how Sir and I like them,
not too hot, not too cold, just right.
Channelling Goldilocks there for a minute.
When we farmed in NSW
the summers were long and hot.
Totally draining.
Down here the summers are full of balmy days,
time to enjoy the beach without the crowds
and a constant stream of friends/visitors from the Big Island.
Perfect.
Love it all.
A tradition that has evolved here over the years
is a beach visit to friends who spend their summers in Bridport.
Bridport
a sleepy little seaside town on the North coast of Tassie.
It has a beautiful bay, safe waters and that azure blue sea that invites you in.
Sleepy that is until the summer then its all a buzz.

No time to be bored here in Bridport in the summer,
something is a happening for all aged groups.
Triathalons, Fetes, Fireworks
with the usual fishing swimming etc
all designed for families and a fun filled holidays.

It's where kids can wander around safely,
calling in for a top up of food or drinks
at which ever place happens to be the closest.
Never really coming home until dark,
then dropping into bed exhausted.

Lovely and laid back.
Reminds me of the summer hols we had as kids.
Sea kayaking great fun. The Beach is perfect for this always nice and safe no nasty rips or undertow |
No day is complete without a group game of beach Cricket. Nearly caught there Mrs E |
So here's to a special summer and another wonderful year
shared with family, friends, travel and laughter.
