Another blooming garden in Tassie

Was quite a drive to get there
but oh so worth it.

In December
that would be December 2013

When the Peonies are at their best,
this gorgeous garden has an open day
................  actually they're open every day.

But this day was specifically to celebrate the flowering of their Peonies,
 they were too,
all blooming to perfection

The house is also run as a B&B a very busy family.
Mum Dad and their 2 daughters do it all.
They also have a small farm that they run in conjunction with this.

WO-OW that is some vegie garden

The Zen garden

When you think this garden 34yrs ago
was just like the paddock beyond it's just stunning
Man made waterfall ...........rock garden

A new addition Wisteria covered pavilion
surrounded by hundreds of peonies

Just a couple of the hundreds of Peonies

The Fernery

The day was overcast and mizzly which just added to its beauty.

They were doing a roaring trade with lunches in the dining room.

The devonshire teas with home
made raspberry jam, clotted cream and fresh home made bread,
was in law of only me seriously the best ever.

A gift from the owners to each and every person that came to the  garden
The perfume was enjoyed for weeks.
The owner told me to add an ice block to the water for them last longer.
Generous or what.

This gorgeous garden is Kaydale Lodge Gardens,
 found 30mins inland from Ulverstone.
Off the usual tourist track but oh so worth a visit.

Have only just discovered this garden
and definitely a to do tour for our keen gardening friends.

Even if it's only for the devonshire tea!

The plan now is to see it in the other seasons.

The owner is a passionate collector of rare bulbs
believe he has planted out hundreds of them,
the sight in spring will be a sight indeed.

 Autumn will be fabulous too
with the decidious trees changing colours.

Winter when the "Bones" of the garden shine through.
Looking forward to seeing them all
