Thanks to RFS volunteers

      

   Today I must give some time

 and thought to the RFS volunteers

those who are putting their lives on the line
fighting fires.

                                           West of Sydney.

The Blue Mountains.

are ablaze.

These fires have been going for a week,

with 200 homes lost,

these volunteers fighting fires
 are exhausted.

Teams recruited from other States

have been bought in 
to give the "locals" some relief.
The recruited volunteer firefighters

 have no knowledge of the landscape

and are fighting in extraordinarily hard conditions.

Yet there they go

with all the spirit that us Aussies have,

pulling together

looking out for your "mates",

as you do when someones in strife.

It is a mighty job they are doing
and a mighty big thankyou to all the RFS

volunteers.
