Hanging out with visitors

With the influx of visitors 

you get to do and see things you probably wouldn't do.

This week we had a friend who is  a keen golfer

so we organised for her to play Barnbougle. 

Wow what a golf course

Rated as number 11 in the world.

It handed out some tough challenges,

A-R played brilliantly, rising to them all.

And she did.

                                                     What a fantastic game A-R played.

What a great walk I had

Decided to be the caddie. 

A pleasure to walk the course

rather than me play golf.

I'd still be there hacking my way through

 that first sand bunker.

 in the wilderness,

part of the highlands.

Perfect Planning

The other day we did a reconnaissance trip.

Yep

 had to check the spelling.

Have visitors coming 

that are keen on camping and hiking.

Sir reckoned he new the perfect camp spot 

but 

just to be sure we did a roady.

Took a picnic along
it even had tables
Perfect 

Being able to camp beside this
Perfect

Usually we walk down from the top car park.

This time we'll go to bottom car park

much better

as it allows camping.

A turn around hike of 2hrs

A trip to the Bridestowe Lavender Farm

.............was..........

underwhelming.

 Maybe if we had gone 

when the lavender was in full bloom

instead of partly.

Not sure.

Disappointed for us and our friends

who had asked to go there.

The chance to tip toe through the lavender 

 Inhaling and getting high 

on the perfume

Ppppffffft

couldn't happen 

So
sorry
the Lavender farm at Bridestowe
is not on our list of must see for visitors.

North East Corner of Tassie

If you were wanting an isolated beach

This part of Tassie

Is the go.

Way out of the way

and has

the best of deserted beaches.

Waterhouse Bay.

The perfect place

to relax and explore. 

 You have to travel a lot of this

     With glimpses of the sea

The sea so blue.........so inviting
Beware though the water is bloody freezing.

This cracked us up
What the ........traffic control
We hadn't seen a vehicle for the past hour.
Guess you had to be there.

Miles of beach and not a soul to be seen.

The sight and sound of the sea soothing.

It's Summer

It's Tasmania

It also means a steady stream of visitors

right up to the end of May.

Sir has planned the itineraries,

he's really good at that. 

Fine tuning it to suit each of our friends.

 Meanwhile I've spent time planning menus.

Basically doing the same,

each visitor is different.

Have to be organised, 

coz don't want to miss out on anything.

The Freezers packed full of goodies.

Being able to pack a good picnic

or find a good restuarant

all part of the fun.

The North West Coast 

 The first arrive next week

they enjoy the beach 

so we will head off there

for starters 

the fishings good 

the beaches are all but deserted.

 we're ready  and looking forward 

to the next few months
